Welcome to Giverny Country Studios. We are located in Howick in the marvellous Natal Midlands. Howick is a medium sized

town in KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa.

 

For many years, we were a teaching studio and hundreds of artists and potters will know us for the fabulous workshops

hosted in our studio . The time has come to draw a line under us as a teaching studio and be us as creative artists in our

own right.

Giverny may no longer may be the teaching studio of yore, however Hermine continues to produce artworks in her own

inimitable style

Hermine holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Pretoria as well as an Honours degree in History of

Art from The University of South Africa. Thereafter, she spent  three years training at the Art Academy in Ghent, Belgium.

​

Although her educational experiences have assisted her in becoming the amazing teacher she is today, Hermine believes her

most important learning experience comes from practicing her art, working with other artists, and from teaching her many

students through the years.  She has  been a practising artist since the late seventies and many of her works are found in galleries

and private collections in South Africa.

 

She looks forward to really focussing on creating art in her own special style.
